Things were looking great when a Spanish fancier came up to me and told me he had won the Ace Pigeon in The Great Derby with a bird bred from one of my birds, Then another Fancier came up to me and said he won 2nd ace pigeon with another bird bred from mine ,But then The Golden race turned out to be a real Marathon with no day birds.

There was a strong head wind and the heat was touching 40c in parts of Portugal , But on the second morning they started to come and I ended up with 23 home and 8 in the prize money , The First 2 Irish birds home were for Webbor Family Lofts which I bred for them , I have roughly gone through the result and I dont think there is another fancier in all the countries that entered got that many in the prizes or that amount of birds home in the Final.

Not even the Mighty PIPA with their army of Best Kittles and Teapots , I think Nikolaas is hiding under the bed , But people still give them 20k plus for youngsters , Or should I say pieces of Paper , I will finish by saying well done to all the Irish that got birds home.

Even though we didn’t win the race we surely showed then all how to have a Good Time and it was my pleasure meeting ye all , And Please god we can do the same next year.
